SalmonSalmon is a versatile food and people love it for its healthy nutrients. It is fatty and has got lots of vitamins and omega-3s. Salmon can be cooked very fast and easily. Salmon can be cooked in different ways. It could be baked, broiled, poached or grilled.

Methods to cook salmon

Mix garlic salt, lemon juice and olive oil and put it inside a plastic bag can be sealed again and put the salmon fillet in the bag to marinade it. You must turn the bag several times to so that all parts of the fillet are coated. Put the bag in refrigerator for 30 minutes before cooking.
For baking salmon-preheat the oven to 400 F and cover the baking sheet by covering it with nonstick aluminum foil and put the salmon fillets in it and bake for about 15 minutes.
For broiling the broiler has to preheat for 5-10 minutes. Put the broiler to high. Put the fillets in the interior racks of the pan with the skin-side of the fillets down. Arrange the fillets singly so that they have enough space in between. The rack should be coated with non-stick cooking spray before you put salmon on it. Broil for about 10-13 minutes and check out if the fillets could be flaked using the fork. The center of the fillet should be opaque.
Grilling requires the gas grill to be preheated to 450 F and then place the fillets in the grill after wrapping them in the aluminum foil and then cook for 15-16 minutes.
You can cook salmon in the skillet or sauté pan. The pan should be heated over high heat and then spray a coating of cooking spray on it. Then place the salmon fillets in the pan and then cook for 3 minutes before you flip them and then cook for another 3-4 minutes.
For poaching put water in the saucepan and heat over medium heat and do it till water starts simmering gently. Add salt to water when it is getting heated. Chopped green onion or other herbs can be added for having flavor. Now put the fillets with skin-side down in the water and cook for 5-10 minutes.
