JEE is a critical examination that decides the progress of success for many students who pursue science at their plus two levels. There are many competitive examinations held across the country after the plus two board exams to decide the eligibility of the students to enter the premium institutes for further studies. JEE is undoubtedly one of the best out of them.
Once a student clears the Joint Entrance Examination with good scores, he/she is sure to secure admission to the top class engineering institutes including the IITs in India that in turn makes the path of their success smooth and glitch-less.
All the premier institutes delivering technical knowledge of engineering are associated with the big corporate houses which come to the campus for recruitment at the end of every academic session, and this is what makes these institutes critical in terms of making the future prospect brighter for the students. Therefore, securing a good score is always essential for a student to be able to be a part of the top-notch facilities and infrastructures provided at these premier institutes.
To secure excellent marks in the JEE examination, it needs more than just regular preparations. A student must know the in-depth analysis of the subjects, the chapters covered and the weightage of every section attached to the question papers in order to make success evitable. Merely going through the chapters will never solve the problem and will never get you near to your goal. The categorical analysis and comprehensive learning are the keys to higher scores in JEE.
Physics
Students who are willing to appear for JEE 2019 must have a fair idea of the syllabus covered, and the chapterwise weightage rendered to comprehend the process better. Physic, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the three subjects that primarily rule the JEE papers and each of them needs to be studied thoroughly. The entire paper is divided into two sections, Section –A and Section-B.
The first section gets 80% weightage and the second one has 20%. The first part deals with the theory based questions of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics whereas the second section deals with practical knowledge-centric questions. Let us first have a look at the subject wise chapters and division of the JEE papers.
The first subject that decides the quality of the performance is Physics and is a critical component to deal with. Owing to the vast syllabus and the analytical abilities required to solve problems of Physics, this subject needs special care. The chapters involved in the examination are
- Mechanics
- Heat & Thermodynamics
- Electrostatics & Magnetism
- Current Electricity & Electromagnetic Induction
- Optics & Modern Physics
These main chapters include further divisions, and almost every part is important as questions keep on appearing in the final papers from all of these chapters and leaving anyone behind is not a solution. Moreover, it has to be kept in mind that while preparing for JEE, general preparation will not suffice the requirement.
Rather, students are suggested to understand the fundamentals of the subjects and get the phenomenon registered in their brain. Straight questions are hardly asked, rather application-oriented questions can be expected from a question paper deciding on the merit of a student.
Units & Dimensions, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy & Power, Rotational Motion, Gravity, Mechanics of Solids & Fluids, Oscillations, waves, Thermal Properties, Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Electric Charges & Fields, Electric Potential & Capacitance, Moving Charges & magnetism, magnetism 7 matter, Electromagnetic Waves & Communication Systems, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current, Semiconductors, Ray Optics, Wave Optics, Dual nature of Radiation and atoms & Nuclei are the main chapters out of which you can expect a total score of 30.
Even though one question is there from each topic, make sure that you do not miss out on any as in competitive exams, even one question can be decisive in determining your road ahead.
Mathematics
Mathematics is another subject that counts crucial in terms of determining the performance in the examinations. If you do this section properly, you will score high; if you do not, then your score will suffer.
Hence, if you are targeting for the best institutes, make sure that you have worked out the plan to cope up with the mathematics section and have a good knowledge of the chapters and topics covered under it. Here are the broad categories of mathematics that are there in JEE.
- Algebra
- Calculus
- Trigonometry
- Coordinate Geometry
All the above chapters contain the following list of topics
- Sets relations & Functions
- Trigonometric Identities
- Solution of Triangles & Heights and Distances
- Complex Numbers & Quadratic Equations
- Permutations & Combinations
- Progressions & Series and Binomial theorem
- Straight Lines
- Circles
- Conic Section
- Limits and Differentiations
- Mathematical Reasoning and Induction
- Statistics
- Probability
- Relations & Functions
- Inverse Trigonometry
- Matrices a7 Determinants
- Continuity & Differentiability
- Applications of Differentiation
- Integration
- Application of Integrals
- Differential Equations
- D Geometry
- Vectors
The question paper covers at least 1-2 questions from each of the topics, and it is crucial that you get prepared on each of them to secure a high score.
Chemistry
As we all know, Chemistry is a scoring subject and can get you near a high score to make your future brighter. There are multiple chapters in Chemistry as well which belong to the main categories of Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry.
Following are the chapters that are needed to be appropriately prepared to score high. Chapters like chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Equilibrium, feature at least three questions from each of them whereas chapters like P-Block Elements, Coordinate Compounds, Hydrocarbons and their Substituent, Chemistry of Environment and Everyday Life, States of matter and Solution are some of the topics which cover 2 questions each. The rest of the chapters include at least one question each in the total chemistry section consisting of 30 questions in aggregate.
The examinations are banging the doors, and it is high time that you head for real-time preparations. Get the pattern of the questions ready with you so that it becomes easier to prepare depending on the weightage given to every topic in the final papers.
If you prepare according to the pattern of the question, it will not only save your time but will make you more competent in managing the test. It is advisable that if your mains go well that you check the JEE main 2019 answer key, and know the chances for your qualification, so that you can immediately start preparing for the JEE advance.
